Title: Regional director – South East
Location: Office-based, covering South East England
Reporting to: Director England

We want to recruit a highly motivated individual with significant experience in, and passion for, shooting and conservation, to lead our team in South East England.
The post-holder will work at both strategic and operational levels, implementing work programmes to deliver the association’s strategic objectives.
Leading and motivating a small team, you will direct the association’s activity in the region to generate the best outcomes for our members. You will be the focal point for regional press and media activity while supporting the association’s political engagement programme in the region.
You will be able to direct and lead at a regional level while maintaining the ability to work with contemporaries to deliver a co-ordinated national approach to member services, projects and campaigns. That includes taking a regional lead on key issues to develop the association’s technical and operational approach.
You will be solution oriented with an ability to resolve problems as they arise, and you will have a proven record of influencing and negotiating with stakeholder organisations. You should be a confident communicator, able to translate complex technical issues to a range of audiences and through a range of media.
You will be the association’s ambassador in South East England and key in ensuring BASC maintains its status as a trusted and respected organisation in the region and nationally.
Title: Operations co-ordinator – South West
Salary: c.£24,500 (salary will depend on experience)
Reporting to: Regional director – South West
Closing Date: 22 April 2022
We are looking for a practical and effective person with experience as an administrator to support the work of the South West regional team.
The successful candidate will also be required to engage with BASC members and the public, and to attend shows and events throughout the region (which will involve working outside core hours and at weekends).
Excellent customer service skills are essential, as is an affinity with country sports. An active participation in shooting sports is desirable.
Title: Public Affairs Manager (Scotland)
Salary: £40,000 pa
Location: BASC Scotland/Flexible
Reporting to: Director Scotland

We are looking for an individual who is not only experienced in working in political affairs but has an understanding of Holyrood and parliamentary processes. You’ll need to have knowledge of the national and international legislative processes linked to sporting shooting and experience of building effective partnerships with politicians. You will also be expected to ensure that key events and issues receive maximum coverage on social media and the press. Affinity with shooting and conservation is desirable.
